CHAPTER 01
Terrence's P.O.V
I sighed, brushing my raven colored fringes from my face as I entered the gates of the most prestigious university in town. Hey, the name's Terrence. I'm a freshman college student who was chosen to be a scholar by the principal for my so called 'wonderful talents' and 'great intelligence'. I was transferred from a peaceful village to a busty city so that I could be close to the university. I'm currently staying at an overly wealthy condominium sponsored by the school. Well, the school is only for those rich and talented students. Although many people say I'm such a lucky man, I would counterpart it.
You see, my parents died in a car accident when I was 5 years old. I was taken care by my aunt yet she treated me badly. At the age of 13, I ran away and began living in a small village. There, I worked and studied well so that no one could treat me miserably again. I gained a lot of friends and we helped each other whenever someone needed help. In that village, I also met a girl who changed my life completely but something terrible happened to her. They were going to travel to the other island for sight-seeing but their boat suddenly broke in the middle of the sea. Both her parents came back but she wasn't with them. They say she might have drowned or maybe got eaten by the sharks but I believe she just got lost. I know I'll be able to find her. She's the missing piece to my broken galaxy.
Then, there happened to be a competition in our town that whosoever shows such significant skills shall be taken as a scholar in a university in town. The villagers told me to join because they can see that I have what their looking for so I tried it for fun and surprisingly, I was chosen.
And now, I'm in this town, struggling to fit in the new society. I don't have friends and I'm all alone. I doesn't know where to go for there's so many people around. I'm scared. I didn't expect that all of this will continue changing until...
"Oi! Come back here you stupid parasite!" a girl w/ raven haired called out loud, throwing crumpled papers at a running male. I stood there, watching them clueless. "Catch me if you can Louise Loser!" the male called back and disappeared at the corner. The girl noticed me and stepped closer, "Whatcha lookin' at mister?!" I don't know if I'm going to laugh at her height or be annoyed of the way she speaks. "C-Chibi..." I teased w/ a smirk. "Stop calling me chibi! You're just a freaking giant that's all!" she exclaimed, punching my chest softly. I looked at her, she was so small and fragile...Almost like a doll. Suddenly, she stopped and looked at her watch. "Shoot! I'm late for the band practice! See ya around kyojin! And the next time I see you again, I'll be tall just like you!" she giggled, running away, leaving me still clueless.
"K-Kyojin???" I whispered, the wind blowing through my fringes. That girl is just like me, an 'otaku' or anime lover. She speaks and acts like one so there's no doubt. Kyojin means giant afterall. Louise was her name huh? I don't know but I get the feeling she's one of those devilish chibis I watch in the internet. Okay, seriously, I'm really getting the feeling that I've known her for a very long time. Her eyes looks the same as-
"Hey newbie-nerdy!" my thoughts were suddenly cut off when somebody blocked my way. I stared at the figure and there I see a guy w/ a rough face, well, he was the guy Louise called a parasite. Honestly, he looks stupid in his outfit. Fashion of teens nowadays are really...weird. "What do you want?" I asked, my voice trying to be as calm as possible, trying to avoid such arguments. The male smirked and replied, "I heard you got chosen by the principal because of your crazy talents," He leaned closer, "Don't use them to impress Louise. Let me tell you something. Louise is mine. Understand that? Louise. Is. Mine." He directly emphasized the words 'Louise is mine'. I pushed him away slowly, "Look, I don't care about her so you don't need to worry about it. I have my own life to bother so why would I make a stupid argument with you over a girl? Anyways, I've got classes to attend," I walk away, "I hope you get to be accepted by her w/ your rotten attitude." "Wha- You'll pay someday for that nerd! Remember that!" he called, eyeing on me and walking the other direction.
I put on my headset, hoping that there'll be no more problematic people coming along the way. Wait, what am I saying? I'm already one of them. Huh, I'll just continue living my life until I disappear; until I dissolve in this twisted universe.
Let me fly in your galaxy; let me live w/ you. Let's watch the stars and melt in each others' arms...
